Game Time Grub

The electrifying atmosphere the event offers is substantiated by those attending. People wait in lines spanning further than the eye can see to get to their eagerly waiting seats, yet the wait pales in comparison to the excitement they know awaits them. By the time the race starts, eagerness and anticipation have given way to pure adrenaline and passion, with vibrant paint schemes zipping along the track faster than anyone would have thought possible fifty years ago. Truly, the combination of human ingenuity and mechanical engineering has made NASCAR a spectacle that is amazing to witness, and the roar of the engines will linger in the eardrums and memories of everyone in the packed ground. However, the thrill and excitement takes a toll on the body, and many will soon feel the pangs of hunger and thirst that was not noticeable in the early moments of the race. This is why it is so important for the venue to have quality concession stands, and for an especially prestigious stadium, it is expected.

The Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is legendary among NASCAR fans. It is one of stock car racing's oldest venues and is referred to as NASCAR's longest running weekly race track. The Stadium is also home to the Winston-Salem State University football team who currently compete in NCAA Division II. The history in the stadium is long, and in order to continue growing that history, improvements are constantly being made to maintain the 17,000 capacity ground. Some of those improvements is making sure the concession stands are of the same quality as the stadium, which leads to Winston-Salem looking for potential vendors to sell concessions at a number of events. The sponsor is looking for vendors who are able to provide safe and delicious food for the thrill seekers that attend their events, all for a fair price.

Concession stands are an underrated part of an event, and one that is often overshadowed by long lines or overpriced foods, but good food can make a good experience a great one.
